OSINT for Lawyers
Legal practice is to a large extent built on working with information. However, in many disputes, key facts are not found solely in case files or documentary evidence. A significant amount of relevant information today also exists in the open digital environment.
The internet, public databases, archival systems, social media, and digital traces left by individuals and companies may contain information that helps provide additional context to a case, verify statements made by parties, or identify inconsistencies in submitted evidence.
I assist lawyers and law firms in identifying, verifying, and structuring information from open sources so that it can be effectively used in legal argumentation, case strategy, or preparation for court proceedings.
My specialization and approach
I specialize in advanced analysis of open sources (OSINT) with a focus on investigative work in the digital environment.
My work does not consist of standard information searches using conventional internet tools and sources. I apply specialized OSINT techniques and analytical procedures that make it possible to identify and analyze hidden digital traces across a wide range of publicly available sources. A key part of my work is also the thorough verification of information from multiple independent sources, analysis of their interconnections, and reconstruction of the broader context of individual findings.
The analysis focuses on identifying information that is not easily accessible at first glance and on uncovering digital traces that may contribute to clarifying specific facts.
All work is carried out exclusively using legal methods and only from publicly available sources.
The outcome of the cooperation is a structured analytical report, which includes:
- description of identified facts
- references to original sources
- archived versions of relevant online content
- visual documentation of identified materials
The client receives a clear analytical basis, with each element independently verifiable at any time. My role is not to provide legal assessment, but to deliver verified information and analytical insights that can support lawyers in further decision-making and case management. A highly discreet approach to all engagements and information is a standard part of the service.
What information I can help obtain
Within cooperation with lawyers, I focus primarily on situations where open sources can provide additional or verifying information relevant to the case. Typical areas of analysis include, for example:
Analysis of publicly available information that may confirm or challenge statements made by individuals within the proceedings.
Cooperation
Cooperation options
Within legal practice, I can act as an external analyst and investigative specialist focused on working with open sources.
Cooperation may take the form of:
- a one-time analysis of a specific case
- ongoing analytical support during litigation
- long-term external cooperation with a law firm
Each cooperation is always secured by:
- a contractual agreement
- a confidentiality obligation
- compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR)
Pricing
The scope and time requirements of individual projects may vary significantly depending on the nature of the case, the volume of analyzed sources, and the required depth of analysis. For this reason, pricing is always determined individually based on the specific assignment.
Contact
If you are interested in cooperation, please contact me. Following an initial consultation, a non-binding in-person meeting can be arranged to discuss your specific case and potential cooperation in more detail.
